Shore to summit – Laxey to Snaefell summit & back

We start at Laxey promenade and head up to King Orry’s Grave. Taking tracks up the side of Slieau Lhean and then drop down to the Black Hut on the Mountain Road TT course. Up the steep side of Snaefell to the top of the Island, we then follow the track down to the Bungalow and Snaefell Mines and down the miners’ track to Agneash, the Great Laxey Wheel and back to Laxey Promenade.

The Northern Ridge – Snaefell summit to Ramsey

We head to the top of Snaefell by the Snaefell Mountain Railway – or get off at the Bungalow to walk to the top; then head from the highest point on the Island along the rounded ridge to Clagh Ouyr and North Barrule, and on to Ramsey past Ballure Reservoir and Plantation. A linear walk over some of the Isle of Man’s wild hill and moorland landscapes with views over hills and the northern plain.

East coast hike – from Ronaldsway to Douglas on the Raad ny Foillan

Follow the coastal footpath (Raad ny Foillan) from Ronaldsway Airport to Douglas Harbour along the east coast visiting promontory forts and keeill (early chapel) sites as we go, exploring Port Soderick and Marine Drive and seeing remarkable geological formations.This linear route provides great coastal walking with fine views along the east coast.

The Herring Way – Peel to Castletown

The Castle challenge: from Peel Castle to Castle Rushen through some superb southern landscapes following an old route linking the ports of Peel and Castletown. This linear walk leads us alongside the River Neb then along the line of the old Peel–Douglas railway line to Glenfaba Mill. We follow the coastal footpath to Glen Maye, inland to the foot of South Barrule, and head for the Silverburn, passing Rushen Abbey on our way to Castletown.
