NNAS Bronze Navigator
The National Navigation Award Scheme Bronze Navigator Award is a course to develop navigation and map reading skills using tracks and footpaths through the countryside and hill land. The course runs over two days and includes both training and an assessment of personal skills.
NNAS Silver Navigator
The National Navigation Award Scheme Silver Navigator Award is a course for those who have some walking and navigation experience, and who want to develop the skills further and consolidate them. It focuses on navigation in open moorland and countryside away from paths and other linear features. We recommend completing the NNAS Bronze Navigator Award before taking this course. The course runs over two days and includes both training and an assessment of personal skills.

The Hill Skills scheme is a great way to develop your personal skills and confidence in all elements of hill walking. From planning a coastal walk to navigating in complex terrain, these courses are an ideal opportunity to learn the basics and enjoy the countryside. The course runs over two consecutive days and is an attendance course with no assessment. Please note: this is not the Hill & Moorland Leader Scheme.
