Norse, World War II & maybe wallabies – Jurby & Ballaugh Curragh

We explore St Patrick’s Church, Jurby, with its Norse crosses, RAF connections and cemetery then walk past Keeill Kickle (St Cecilia’s chapel), Ballateare and the site of Killane mill. We then dip into the wetlands of Ballaugh Curragh and walk back by Jurby airfield and the new transport museum. From Ancient Viking sites to the RAF; from local wildlife to the chance of seeing a wallaby.

Bring clothing appropriate to the weather on the day-watch out for wind and rain!-and any food, drink and support equipment (e.g. walking poles, gaiters, insect repellent, sun cream, etc.) which you find useful.
