Shore to summit – Laxey to Snaefell summit & back

We start at Laxey promenade and touch the water in Laxey Bay, then head up Minorca Hill and explore the Neolithic chambered tombs at King Orry’s Grave. Taking tracks, and paths through farmland and open moorland we ride up the side of Slieau Lhean and then drop down to the Black Hut on the Mountain Road TT course. After a break we head up the steep side of Snaefell to the top of the Island and (weather permitting) see the Seven Kingdoms from the summit. We then follow the track down to the Bungalow and cur across land to the Snaefell Mines and down the miners’ track to Agneash, the Great Laxey Wheel and back to Laxey Promenade. Option to take the Snaefell Mountain Railway from Snaefell summit or the Bungalow to Laxey (cost not included).
